COME... vacation at Nelson's Cottages, a
family oriented vacation resort in operation since
1950. We're located on scenic Fourth Lake, within
walking distance of the small Adirondack
community of Inlet, located 10 miles north of Old
Forge. We are open from Memorial Day until
Columbus Day each year.
STAY... in clean and comfortable
Housekeeping Cottages which have full kitchens
and bathrooms with showers.
OR... for a weekend or overnight trip stay in
one of our Motel Units. Each cabin includes at
least one double bed and a complete bathroom.
These cabins are also available by the week.
ENJOY... waking up in fresh mountain air to a
day filled with swimming at our sandy, child-safe
beach and dock area. Plus, take advantage of the
other activities on the premises such as volleyball,
badminton, ping-pong, basketball, a complete
children's playground and fishing (We have dock
space for your boat!).
ALSO... the nearby area has much to offer:
visit the Enchanted Forest Water Safari, tour the
Blue Mountain Lake Museum, take a guided
steamship cruise or a ride on the Adirondack
Scenic Railroad. Browse through the local gift
shops, try tennis, play a round of golf, go
horseback riding or take a seaplane ride. Rent a
boat at the local marina for fishing, sailing or
waterskiing on the Fulton Chain of Lakes. Climb
one of the nearby Adirondack peaks, bicycle or
hike through the vast and beautiful forests and you
will surely catch a glimpse of the area's Wildlife.

The Inlet / Big Moose / Old Forge area offers
many restaurants serving the finest meals in an
informal and friendly atmosphere. We also highly
recommend taking a romantic dinner cruise on the
W.W. Durant on beautiful Raquette Lake.
RELAX... at the end of the day on our beach,
by the fireplace, watching the sun set behind Cedar
Island where a new and sensational picture may be
